Upgrade to PremiumQ1. What is the purpose of catchup=False in a DAG definition?
When catchup=False, Airflow will NOT backfill DAG Runs for dates between the start_date and the current date. Only the latest scheduled run will be created. Without this, Airflow would create DAG Runs for every scheduled interval since start_date.
Q2. Explain what {{ ds }} and {{ ds_nodash }} resolve to and why they're important.
{{ ds }} resolves to the logical date in YYYY-MM-DD format (e.g., "2024-01-15"){{ ds_nodash }} resolves to the same date without dashes (e.g., "20240115")They're important because they make DAGs idempotent — the same DAG processes different dates by using the templated date, without any code changes.
Q3. Name three levels of DAG testing and what each level validates.
